Godet roses

Roses and the expertise of Maison Godet. Rose blossoms are hand-picked, one by one, when their fragrance concentration is at its peak, between 5 and 9 a.m. The flowers must be distilled immediately to preserve the roses' freshness. The rose petals are placed in a copper vat, known as a still. Under low pressure, steam is sent into the still and passes through the petals. This causes the aromatic sacs to burst and isolates the compounds. This process then yields what is known as rose absolute.
