Perfumer's inspiration

Imbued by the artistic élan of his contemporaries, Julien-Joseph Godet found in Tourrettes sur Loup violet the audacity of a new olfactory flight. With bergamot and cardamom in the top notes, Folie Bleue has a touch of vintage madness, tenderly softened by cedarwood and Chamonix moss. It’s hardly surprising that the fragrance was a source of inspiration for Henriette Darricarrère, a young dancer of uncommon character and a great inspiration to the painter Henri Matisse.

Recommendations for use

Our candles are dedicated to being decorative pieces for your home.
However, if you wish to burn your candle, here are a few precautions to ensure your safety and the life of the candle:

– Make sure you remove any objects that have fallen onto the surface of the candle or into the wax bath before lighting it.

– Only light your candle if the wick is straight.

– Place the candle on a stable, flat, sturdy surface, protected from the heat, or on a special container when burning.

– Do not move your candle when it is lit, or until the melted wax has set

– Do not burn your candle near a source of heat or ventilation

– Do not place your burning candle on a shelf, as this could cause a fire to start.

– Stop the candle burning when 1 cm of wax remains to avoid overheating or marking the holder.

– To extinguish the candle, use a snuffer or a special lid.

– Once the wax has solidified, cut the wick to within 5 mm of the wax surface.

– You can protect your candle from dust and help preserve its fragrance with a glass cloche

– Keep your candle in a temperate place, protected from light and damp. Candles are sensitive to strong variations in temperature, which can alter their colour, material and fragrance.

All the pictograms on the packaging of Parfums Godet candles must appear in accordance with European standard EN 15494:2019.

Below are explanations of the pictograms in the order in which they appear below:

Take care when using candles or flux, as they can be dangerous.

Avoid inhaling smoke emanating directly from the candle/melter.

Close the room when the candle is burning / melting to avoid draughts and ventilate the room in which the candle was located when it was extinguished.

Do not leave a candle or flux burning unattended.

Be sure to space each candle/glow plug at least 10 cm apart to avoid any danger when they burn.

Do not burn a candle or glow plug on or near an object likely to catch fire.

Burn the candle/melt out of reach of children and pets.

Make sure that you light your candle/melter on a flat surface and on a surface intended for this purpose.

Cut the candle wick before use.

Do not leave a lit candle / mantle near a draught.

Always smother the flame. Do not blow it out to avoid the risk of splashing.

TERMS OF DELIVERY

La Maison Godet delivers its products worldwide. La Maison Godet reserves the right to ship orders only after full payment has been received by the customer within 24/48 hours.

We work with three carriers:

Colissimo: For deliveries to mainland France, Monaco and Andorra.
Chronopost and FedEx: For international shipments.
Mondial Relay: For deliveries in mainland France.

Delivery charges will be calculated at the time of purchase.

Packages must be signed for.

The customer will be informed when the parcel has been picked up by the carrier, and will receive a tracking number so that he can follow the progress of his order in real time.

If the Customer is unable to take possession of the order on the scheduled delivery date, he/she may coordinate with the carrier to arrange a new delivery slot.

RECEIPT OF PRODUCTS

Upon receipt of the order, the Customer is required to check the conformity of the items ordered. He/she is invited to contact customer service (info@parfumsgodet.com) within 14 days of receipt of the parcel, the date shown on the carrier’s receipt signed by the Customer being taken as proof.

If this 14-day period expires on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, it is automatically extended to the next working day.

RETURN POLICY

To benefit from the returns policy, it is important to first contact customer service.
Products must be returned in new condition, in their original, well-protected packaging. Otherwise, your request will not be processed.

REFUNDS

We undertake to reimburse the customer when the error is our fault.

In other cases, the products will not be refunded, but a credit note valid for 1 year from the date of creation will be issued.
